Title: White Layer Cake (Aha)

1/2cAcceptable margarine,
  Softened
1tsVanilla extract
1/2tsAlmond extract
1 1/4cSugar
2 1/2cSifted cake flour
1 1/2tsBaking powder
1 1/3cLow-fat buttermilk
4 Egg whites, at room
  Temperature
1/4cSugar
  Seven-Minute Frosting (AHA),
  Lemon Flavored

Preheat oven to 350 F. Line two 9-inch cake pans with wax paper.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together margerine, vanilla extract, almond extract, and 1 1/4 c sugar.

In another bowl, sift together flour and baking powder. Add to creamed mixture alternately with the buttermilk, starting adn ending with dry ingredients. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add remaining 1/4 c sogar and beat until stiff peaks form. Fold into batter. Pour mixture into prepared cake pans.

Bake 30 minutes, or until done. Cool 10 mintes, remove from pans and remove wax paper. When cakes is thoroughly cool, frost with lemon flavored Seven-Minute Frosting (AHA).
